John C Anderson Home — Paranormal Investigation Rules Agreement
The John C Anderson Home is, first and foremost, a HOME, and shall be treated with the respect that is deserved, having been entrusted to the Macoupin County Historical Society by the Anderson family.
No smoking of any kind is permitted in the house or other historical buildings. Smoking is permitted outside the Ruyle building only. Please dispose of cigarette butts in the container provided.
No alcohol is permitted on the grounds and no one suspected of being under the influence of any drugs or alcohol will be permitted to participate in the tour. No refunds will be given.
The John C Anderson Home is full of delicate and fragile historical artifacts. Respect all “Do Not Touch” signs. Do not sit on the furniture. Folding chairs are provided throughout the property and can be moved from room to room. Report any damage promptly to staff.
Theft will be reported to law enforcement.
No commercial filming or content without express permission by the Macoupin County Historical Society.
Paranormal investigators may use typical equipment for interacting and documenting. No conjuring, banishing, or occult rituals are to be conducted on the grounds.
No provoking.
No open flames are permitted anywhere on the grounds or in the buildings.
Vehicles must remain on paved or gravel areas, not in the grass.
